History and Milestones
The humble beginning of UralungalLabour Contract Cooperative Society (ULCCS Ltd.) was during the phase of historic transformation in the Country. The era of the global awakening against casteism, superstitions and taboos, has created waves in the region of Kerala too. Leaders like SreeNarayana Guru, ChattambiSwamikal and Vakbadanatha where the pioneers in Social reforms, who held the helm for these reformations. Sri Vagbadanantha’s exertion against idol worshiping religious and social stigma has even attracted the admiration of his opponents. The scholarliness and elocution of Sri VayaloriKunjikannan, identified as Sri. Vagbhadanantha has resulted in gaining plethora of pupils across Kerala
In 1925 the Society was registered under the India Act of 1912 in Madras State.
Firm accepted the by-law of Labour Contract Society of the Government and thus got registered as Labour Contract Service Society.
ULCCS Became “A” Class with member strength was increased from 82 to 200
ULCCS Started giving more employment and working days with improved infrastructure and enhanced technology
ULCCS became accredited agency for Local self-Government department of Kerala government to undertake works without tender
ULCCS was awarded Indira Gandhi Sadbhavana award for its best working practices in cooperative sector
CDC Excellency Award 2008 by government of India through national co Operative Development Corporation for the best performance
ULCCS became accredited agency for Tourism department to undertake works without tender
Commenced Setting up of ITES Park at Calicut with SEZ Status
Launched New IT solution Provider, ULTS in Trivandrum
ULCCS crossed 250 Cr Revenues under various government projects, UN had recognized ULCCS for its best labour management system and work culture
